Recognizing their work

At an event Sept. 22 at the Crowne Plaza celebrating 15 years serving Rhode Island’s autistic community, Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) expressed appreciation to the staff and volunteers of The Autism Project for their tireless commitment to giving opportunities to children with autism and related disorders. Langevin presented a citation of special congressional recognition to Joanne Quinn, executive director of the organization that impacts more than 10,000 Rhode Island residents per year, including individuals with Autism and Asperger Syndrome, family members, school and medical personnel, and community members. Pictured with the congressman and Quinn is the congressman’s brother, Rick.
