Posted by StateHouseTours

The tour stops include the Rhode Island Charter Museum, which features the Royal Charter of 1663 and other historical documents and artifacts; the State Room, where Gilbert Stuart’s famous portrait of George Washington hangs; and the Rotunda, where you can gaze upward at one of the world’s largest self-supported marble domes. Be sure to visit the Visitor’s Center gift shop for Rhode Island produced books, postcards, and other unique gifts and mementoes.

Tours are available during school vacation weeks as a fun and educational family activity.
