Caritas Smile will host the 7th Annual Dress in White Masquerade Ball and Toy Drive to benefit communities and children living in poverty in the US and in developing countries, on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Crowne Plaza from 6 to 11 p.m.

The event includes a dance performance by inner-city dance team Case Closed; exclusive fashion show by Lights; fashion, philanthropy and singing performance by 11-year-old Soraiya Marines; silent auction items and unique raffle items from local RI businesses.

Tickets are $50 and $40 for students. Toy donations will be collected at the event. To RSVP call 400-0176 or email caritasmile@gmail.com. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite at www.CaritaSmile.org or masquerade-ball-2017.eventbrite.com.

Caritas Smile is hosting this annual toy drive event for families and children living below the poverty line in the US and in developing countries. Caritas Smile is 100 percent volunteer based and volunteer groups, students and supporters travel to poor villages in developing countries and lend a hand in rebuilding, teaching, and offering hope and inspiration to communities in need. This year five Rhode Island families living below the poverty level will be randomly surprised by Caritas Smile.

"Random acts of kindness are performed throughout selected communities. Our signature gift giving program surprises local Rhode Island families in need, Latin America and the Caribbean. Volunteers surprise children with gifts while they play in the streets during the holidays. The smiles and experiences we create are joyous. It reminds us that with inspired action we help others to become inspired,” said founder, Sixcia Devine.
