Richard Currier, age 80, of Warwick, RI, formally of Stuyvesant, NY, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2017.

Born in RI, Richard moved to New York City after graduating from URI in 1958. Richard was employed for many years as the creative decorator at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City where he was highly regarded both by the creative community and his employer. Many of the windows he created for Bergdorf Goodman won numerous prizes and special recognition by the press. After he retired to upstate New York, he renovated and resold several historical houses in Columbia County that received public recognition for creative decor and design. He loved the Hudson River and spent many hours peacefully wandering its banks and byways with his beloved dogs.

He was the beloved brother of Jean Correira and John Correira. He is also survived by his nephews, David Williams and Kevin Williams, his niece Cheryl LeClair, and several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Richard at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Summit Baptist Church, 1176 Victory Highway, Coventry, RI.
