Robert E. Gage, 70, a retired Providence County Deputy Sheriff for the State of RI passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Providence VA Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Helen G. (Marx) Gage.
He was a son of the late Edward E. and Helen E. (Mottram) Gage. Bob served in the RI Army National Guard for many years, retiring as a Staff Sergeant, and was a member of the William Shields Jr. American Legion Post #43.
Bob was the loving father of Robert E. Wiersema, Melinda M. Bloomingburgh and Robert E. Gage; stepfather of Robert W. and Daniel A. Gadoury; loving grandfather of Dana, Kristopher, Kevin, Kyle, Dylan, Robert, Ava, and Jaxson; loving great-grandfather of Sophia; brother of the late Edward Gage and also survived by his loving dog, Miss Teddy.
