Robert J. Andrews, Sr., age 78, of Greenwich Farms, Minnesota Avenue, Warwick, died on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Kent Regency in Warwick. He was the husband of the late Rosemary (Tongue) Andrews.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Luther W. and Muriel (Butler) Andrews, he lived in Warwick for 36 years. Mr. Andrews was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Rhode Island Post Card Club and the Mystic Valley Railroad Society.
He is survived by a daughter, Roberta J. Caulkins of Flemington, NJ; a son, Robert J. Andrews, Jr. of Warwick; a step-son, Wayne A. Richardson of Putnam, CT; two step-daughters, Robin L. Richardson of Pinellas Park, FL and Dale E. Richardson of Putnam, CT; a granddaughter, Heather Smith of Putnam, CT; and a sister, Linda Gauthier of Coventry. He was the brother of the late Luther A. “Andy” Andrews.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, May 4, at 12 noon from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. www.barrettandcotter.com
