Mayor Scott Avedisian, along with Governor Gina Raimondo, U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, U.S. Representative James Langevin, Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) Director Janet Coit, and members from Leadership Rhode Island will attend a ceremony at 10:30 a.m. this Friday to reveal Rocky Point Pathway Signs.
The signs, which were designed by Leadership Rhode Island with input from the City of Warwick and RIDEM, depict various sites and attractions that once stood within the park. The 10 signs offer visitors a unique and interesting way to experience the history of the park.
Leadership Rhode Island planned the signage project that required researching each of the venues featured, obtaining photographs and obtaining sponsors to have the signs built that were then installed by city crews.
The ceremony, to take place at the park arch, is open to the public.
