Rosina “Rose” (Piscopio) Petrocelli


Rosina “Rose” (Piscopio) Petrocelli, 88, of Mechanic Falls, Maine, died peacefully at home on September 21, 2012. She was the wife of the late Querino Petrocelli.

Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Peter Piscopio and Lucia (Tortorigi) Piscopio. Mrs. Petrocelli worked in the Shipping Department for the Rhode Island Medical Center. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, member of the Sacred Heart Senior Citizens, the Senior Citizens Bowling Team, and enjoyed gardening.

She leaves her two sons, John J. Petrocelli and his wife, Genie of Mechanic Falls, Maine and William P. Petrocelli and his wife, Jeanie of Tamworth, New Hampshire. Cherished grandmother of John Petrocelli, Jeremy Petrocelli, Nathan Petrocelli, Nicole Petrocelli; and four great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Joseph Piscopio of Hernando, Florida, Peter Piscopio of Warwick, Mary Appolonia of Warwick, Laura Petrarca of Warwick, Jennie DelPozzo of Cranston, Lucy Almberg of Cranston, and the late Anthony Piscopio and Carmine Piscopio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 9:00 am from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. prior to the funeral.
