Ruth Scott named senior clinical manager at VNA of Care New England
VNA of Care New England recently announced the appointment of Ruth Scott, RN, as Senior Clinical Manager. Scott comes to the VNA of Care New England with more than 24 years of experience in healthcare and a strong background in the clinical areas of cardiac, geriatric, stroke, behavioral and oncology care. Most recently she served as the Director of Patient Care Services at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
Scott will be responsible for the clinical oversight of the home health program and staff. In addition, she will be leading the initiative for physician alignment that will focus on piloting new delivery care models and partnerships with primary care physicians and patient-centered medical homes.
VNA of Care New England, founded in 1908, is a nonprofit Medicare and Medicaid certified home care and hospice agency, serving the home health, hospice, and community health needs of adults throughout Rhode Island. The agency employs more than 200 health care professionals and paraprofessionals and is accredited by the Joint Commission.
