Ruth Stone Allen, a Warwick resident from 1964 until recently when she moved to Cranston, died on Sunday.
Ruth was the daughter of the late Edith and Irving Allen and sister of the late Virginia A. Allen. She was a member of the Beneficent Congregational Church. Until her retirement she was the Administrator of the Department of Pathology at Rhode island Hospital. After retirement, Ruth developed a line of individually designed greeting cards and related items which were in gift shops in New York City, Alexandria Virginia, New Bern, North Carolina as well as many shops locally. Ruth also continued her interest in writing.
The funeral service will be held Friday at Noon in the Historic Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd. Providence to which relatives and friends are invited.
