City residents are reminded that due to the temporary closure of the City Hall Annex Building, the Tax Collector’s office has moved to the lower level of City Hall. Residents who wish to make in-person tax payments can do so there. There is also a secure drop box located inside the side entrance at City Hall. Residents who choose to mail their quarterly tax payments should mail them to 3275 Post Road, Warwick, Rhode Island 02886. Seen here is the temporary Tax Assessor’s office at the former Greene School on Draper Avenue. Other municipal offices relocated to the Greene School following a busted water pipe in the Annex building opposite City Hall include building, planning, personnel and MIS. The Tax Collector’s office was relocated to the basement conference room at City Hall. In a release issued Wednesday, the city said any residents who have already mailed payments to the temporary Annex at 51 Draper Avenue, the Collector’s Office will be processing all payments as they are received, and reviewing the postmark date in accordance with state law, to avoid any late fees when possible. For updated information, visit the city’s website, www.warwickri.gov, or call City Hall at 738-2000
