Kent Hospital Auxiliary members joined at the Eleven 49 Restaurant Tuesday for their spring luncheon meeting. With about 140 members, the auxiliary runs the hospital shop that over the years has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars for hospital program and equipment. Also, as part of their supportive efforts, the auxiliary will hold its 21st annual golf tournament July 9 at the Potowomut Golf Club. Sue Crossley is the contact at 737-7000 x31464. Hospital nutritionist Laurie Lovgren, featured speaker at the luncheon, gave a talk titled “power up your brain with these brain foods.” Her list included dark chocolate, blueberries, eggs (the whole egg), kale, avocadoes, fish, walnuts and more. Here co-presidents of the auxiliary Judy Elliott and Jean Woodcock (seated) are joined by Sherry R. Nelson, hospital interim president and COO, and Lovgren. (Warwick Beacon photo)
