BAYADA Home Health Care, with operations across the country has relocated their Providence offices to 171 Service Avenue (at one time Bulova Watch Company) in Warwick. A ribbon cutting was held last week, where Mayor Joseph Solomon welcomed the company employing more than 700 Rhode Islanders and spoke of the importance of the individualized home health care provided by BAYADA. Also speaking were Cranston Mayor Alan Fung, House Minority Leader Patricia Morgan, Warwick Senator Erin Lynch Prata and Nicholas Oliver, Executive Director for the Rhode Island Partnership for Home Care. The move to Warwick has enabled BAYADA to expand training programs, including the simulation and skills labs for nurses and CNAs along with the Nurse Residency Program for pediatrics and adults. Headquartered in suburban Philadelphia, BAYADA employs more than 25,000 nurses, home health aides, therapists, medical social workers, and other home health care professionals who serve their communities in 22 states from more than 335 offices with locations in Germany, India, Ireland, and South Korea. Above, employees, patients and invited guests gather for a group shot prior to the ribbon cutting. And serving as emcee for the event was Richard Boschwitz, director for the BAYADA Rhode Island Skilled pediatric and adult nursing office. (Warwick Beacon photos)
