Meeting a need
A drive and contest conducted at the Warwick Area Career and Technical Center collected multiple boxes of food that were delivered Tuesday to Oakland Beach Elementary School and the St. Rita Church food pantry. Students in the electrical program out-collected their peers for the honor of making the delivery and a pizza party. A total of 1,380 food items were collected in the weeklong drive. Cameron Kadek, Title 1 Family Engagement Facilitator at Oakland Beach, was delighted to get the food that she would be sent home in backpacks to be given to 20 students. Pictured here with Kadek are Lucas Sierra-Ingram, Charles Fuss, Samuel Prairie and Jacob Faundal. (Warwick Beacon photo)
