Gloria Zeoli (right), Unit President of the William Shields American Legion #43 Auxiliary, presents a $1,000 check to Tara Cirella, the mother of the late Gianna Cirella, the 16-year-old Toll Gate High School student who passed away after a battle with sepsis last October. The money will go to the Gianna Cirella Fund, which funds research to find treatments and, eventually, a cure for sepsis. Zeoli mentioned that the donation wouldn’t have been possible without Lois Di Gaetano, the past Community Service Chairman for the Legion, who “worked tirelessly to raise the money.” (Warwick Beacon photo)
