If customers to the McDonald’s on Post Road opposite the former Aldrich Junior High School didn’t know better, they might have thought the city’s high command had set up office in the restaurant. Mayor Joseph Solomon joined Col. Rick Rathbun and members of the Warwick Police Department for “Coffee with Cops,” a two-hour long opportunity for people to meet and talk with department members Wednesday morning. McDonald’s area supervisor John Benson extended the invitation to police for the third consecutive year. Officer Aaron Steere brought along Gary, the newest member of the K-9 group for the visit.
