Christopher P. Devine of Cranston has been hired as assistant vice president and branch manager for the newest Washington Trust branch, which is set to open in Coventry this September. Upon the opening of the Coventry location, Washington Trust will have a total of 21 branches throughout Rhode Island as well as one in Mystic, Conn. Devine has more than 12 years of banking experience, having held numerous positions within the Rhode Island market. He most recently served as branch manager for the Warwick branch of Webster Bank and prior to that served as both assistant and branch manager for various Citizens Bank locations. In his new role with Washington Trust, he is responsible for managing the daily operations of the branch, growing the bank’s deposit base and maintaining Washington Trust’s active role in the community.
