A few water hazards haven’t failed to deter those determined to walk, and in some cases fish, from the jetty off Pawtuxet Cove. Access is from the causeway at Salter Grove Park that will be undergoing improvements thanks to a $200,000 grant from the Department of Environmental Management. The city has received three bids for the work, which is projected to be done this summer. When completed the causeway, with culverts to allow for the flow of water, will provide a dry route to the jetty…provided, naturally, it’s not a storm at high tide.
