Alyssa Hager, a junior at Beacon Charter High School for the Arts in Woonsocket, was awarded the Student Artist of the Month Award. This is a schoolwide award based on both artistic excellence as well as academics. Miss Hager is the first student at Beacon Charter to showcase a living art piece at her Junior Arts Night this past March. One of her pieces was also selected for the Student Art Exhibit at Museum of Work and Culture in Woonsocket, a high honor, which ran through the month of March. Alyssa is the daughter of Jeff and Maureen Hager of Warwick. (Submitted photo)
