Historic evening for history buffs

Toll Gate High School had a great showing at the Rhode Island State National History Day Competition held this past spring at Rhode Island College. The following students won 1st, 2nd or 3rd places in their respective categories and were recognized during Tuesday night’s School Committee meeting:

1st Place, Group Website – Sydney Randall & Madison Vigneault; 2nd Place, Group Website – Ryan Butera & Jack Petratca; 2nd Place, Historical Paper – Meghan Carreiro; 2nd Place, Individual Documentary – Jillian Costello; 3rd Place, Individual Exhibit – Mikayla Silcox. 1st and 2nd place winners are eligible to go on to the National Competition, which was held this past June at the University of Maryland, College Park. Sydney Randall and Jillian Costello made the trip to Maryland and proudly represented Toll Gate High.
