Holliman School held its annual Veterans Day on Thursday at the school with Mayor Joseph Solomon, Congressman James Langevin (pictured here) and Senator Michael McCaffrey speaking of the importance of honoring our veterans. As has become the practice, immediately following the ceremony, the school used Feinstein funds to hold a complimentary luncheon for Holliman community veterans. A highlight of the ceremony was a vocal performance of a song that had been traditionally performed each year by John Brown Francis students at their school each Veterans Day. Holliman 5th grade teacher, Kim Williams, who came to Holliman after many years of teaching at JBF, along with a number of former JBF students, taught this veteran appreciation song to Holliman students especially for the occasion.
