With the need for personal protection equipment for those on the frontline of fighting the coronavirus and with no laboratory-based instruction taking place at this time, the New England Institute of Technology is donating its supply of surgical masks, gowns and gloves to Care New England. Steve Kitchin, NEIT vice president, said Monday the institution has had a wonderful relationship with CNE, “they have been so good to us.” He said it is NEIT’s “responsibility” to help. NEIT is providing 340 gowns, 300 set of gloves and 200 masks. “This donation is a testament to the kindness, compassion, and charity that is alive and well within our community, during an unprecedented time in our history. Thank you to NEIT for partnering with CNE as we battle this pandemic together,” said Jess McCarthy, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Care New England. Dr. Robert Desrosiers, Interim Director of Nursing is pictured with the shipment that went to CNE.
