A new spot for authentic Mexican

Posted

Mayor Joseph Solomon was joined by Karen Jedson, director of the Warwick Department of Tourism Culture and Development, and members of the Rhode Island Central Chamber of Commerce to welcome the owners and staff of Cantina Del Rio, a new Mexican restaurant that opened up in what was formerly DiMicco’s on West Shore Road, to the city with a ribbon cutting. While Solomon, checked out the guacamole bar, owner Antonio Santillion said that the response so far has been very positive, and that they chose Warwick as he recognized there was a shortage of authentic, sit-down Mexican restaurants in the city. The restaurant will have been open two weeks this Thursday. (Warwick Beacon photos)

The food is fantastic and the bright blue exterior at 1,705 West Shore Rd. can't be missed!

    Happy September everyone.

Been there. It's terrific. They're working out some service kinks but it will be fine. The margaritas are half the size of a volleyball and the food is very good. Best of luck!!
