As of Wednesday morning, the three sections of the 18-foot model of the Saturn V rocket that sent Apollo 11 to the moon 50 years ago were coming together at the former St. Benedict School. The model, along with a model of the lunar command module built by Toll Gate and Warwick Area Career and Technical Center students, will be in Saturday’s parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of man landing on the moon. The parade starts at 11 a.m. in Conimicut Village. Here, John Roberts of the parade committee displays the rocket that Rob and his brother, Mike Corbin, along with Jessica Wilcox, all scout leaders, helped scouts Devin Corbin, Cortey Wilcox and Lucien Martinez build.
