Steve Stycos, farmer at the Westbay Farm on Centerville Road, has had a difficult time maintaining the grass between fields but that should be a problem this year thanks to the Rotary Club of Warwick. The club’s Turkey Trot held on Thanksgiving morning at City Park raised $2,000 for the farm to purchase a riding mower. Last year, the farm on the former Barton Farm property owned by the city raised more than 20,000 pounds of produce that was made available to needy families through the Westbay Marketplace run by Westbay Community Action. Pictured with Stycos at left are Sarah Channing president of the Warwick service club and Tom Sanford, club member, who founded and runs the annual Turkey Trot. (Warwick Beacon photo)
