The Sonic restaurant on Bald Hill Road across from Target expected to open in September will hold a job fair this Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. According to Dustin Deboer, vice president who will be running the operation, the franchise owned by Chris Stack will be looking to fill about 50 positions including “car hops” who deliver orders to customers parked in the car port on skates. In addition, Sonic will offer outdoor seating and indoor seating for 65. In order to build on the site, Stack said he had to remove tons of ledge rock. He’s happy with the result. There’s no doubt it’s a rock solid location for a Sonic. (Warwick Beacon photo)

What is the plan for traffic getting in an out of the restaurant? You have a light just before and after but nothing directly in front of it. You also have cops at Haxton's during the weekend. Traffic is already a problem on Rt. 2 in that area. It is going to get even more congested once Sonic is open.

Heading north, not a problem. Heading south, turn right into the Target plaza, loop back to the traffic light and go left. Alternatively, turn left into Staples plaza, loop back and turn right.

Don't make life so complicated. It is just a burger joint. Can't get in? Go down the road and you will find a McDonald's, Burger King, Five Guys, Smash Burger, or even a Shop-n-Stop where you can go buy your own groceries to take home and cook like a grownup.

Traffic is already a nightmare. This will cause more congestion. Please don't assume. I do cook at home since I am vegan. No fast food at all. Just a frequent driver on Bald Hill Road.
