What those who witnessed some of the 45 high-speed ocean racers pull into Warwick Cove Marina on Saturday didn’t get to see were the craft as they sped between five stops in the poker run hosted by Borden Light Marina in Fall River. Michael Lund, marina owner and his wife, Nicole, provided this shot taken during the 13th annual run that benefited Make-A-Wish of Massachusetts and Rhode Island this year. Nicole said the event raised $35,000 that will enable the charity to grant three wishes plus the half of a fourth. Nicole said the run started 13 years ago when Michael would donate the proceeds to local charities. This year, with the help of two marina customers, George and Robyn Polillio, the event was brought to another level, she said. (Photo courtesy of Borden Light Marina)
