On Monday Mayor Scott Avedisian did the honors at a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the 30th anniversary of Wonder Kids Early Learning Center of Rhode Island, 73 Alhambra Road. Wonder Kids, which was founded in 1987, has provided parents and their children with a special, safe and healthy learning environment for three decades. With a commitment to the needs of the families they serve, Wonder Kids takes pride in creating and maintaining a home-like environment for children to learn and grow in. The owner and Director of Wonder Kids is Mary Lou Reynolds. Caring for children as young as six weeks to five years of age, the facility boasts classrooms with unique and individual characteristics for each of their day programs. The center provides care for 75 children. Looking on as the mayor prepares to snip the ribbon are Cindy Gibbons, assistant director, Senator Michael McCaffrey, Joseph Pariseault, brother to Mary Lou whose construction company built the center, Mary Lou and her husband, Michael.
