Students from Wyman and St. Peter Schools acted out a history lesson May 20 as they gave a walkthrough tour of historical sites in the Pawtuxet Village for 278 people. Wearing colonial outfits, 80 current students and alumni took on the roles of different residents like Christopher Rhodes and the Rhodes family for groups that walked the village. Wyman and St. Peter PTAs collaborated to put on the tour, and all the props and costumes are housed at Wyman. Members of the PTA host the tours along with the Pawtuxet Rangers. Playing the role of gravediggers at the historic Pawtuxet Cemetery are Katy Harrison of Veterans Junior High School and Allison Bogs of Wyman. In the roles of the Christopher Rhodes family were Massimo Papa, Olivia Weidele, Ella Fitzpatrick and Josh Mihalos. Gaspee Days celebrations continue this weekend with h the Warwick Symphony Orchestra concert at Pawtuxet Park followed by fireworks. The parade is June 10. (Warwick Beacon photos)
