Warwick Police will oppose Warwick Fire on the basketball court in the Warwick Public Safety Slam on Saturday evening at Pilgrim High School. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
The event is set to produce funds for a great cause, as all proceeds will be donated to the National Autism Association.
The event should undoubtedly be fun for all ages with plenty of activities planned, such as a halftime half-court shot contest (3 attempts for $10), raffles featuring sports memorabilia and gift cards, a 50/50 raffle, silent auctions and a game of knockout for kids at halftime. Kids will also have the chance to win a ride to school in either a police car or a fire truck.
Those who wish to attend can buy tickets at the door for $5. Those who can’t make the event but would like to donate to the National Autism Association may do so online at donate.nationalautismassociation.org/ warwickpubsafetyslam.
