BRINGING UP THE REAR: Edgewood commodore Jeff Lanphear, after fouling another competitor and having to complete a penalty circle, found himself in the back of the fleet. At least it gave him a great view of the competition.
PRIZE TABLE: Bill Sawicki, one of Edgewood’s racers, and his son Will, an up-and-coming sailor, look over the prizes, many of which were donated by members of the Marine Trades Association. Jonathan Howard arranges the display outside the house that has served as club headquarters since Edgewood burned to the water a year ago.
Here, in one of the few puffs of the morning, the boats head to the windward mark. Event chairman was Bill Grenga.

HITTING THE WATER: The Edgewood Yacht Club hosted the Narragansett Bay Yachting Association Frostbite Regatta Sunday in the near-like mirror waters off the club dock. But that didn't stop 10 Sunfish sailors from some nerve-wracking, close-quarter runs around the course – albeit slower than they would have wished for.
