The Samaritans of Rhode Island’s Forget-Me-Not Gallery welcomes singer/songwriter Jonathon Edwards to the Pawtucket Arts Festival on September 15. The concert is presented as part of The Samaritans yearlong 40th Anniversary.

Mr. Edward’s hits include “Honky Tonk Stardust Cowboy,” “Sometimes,” “One Day Closer,” “Don’t Cry Blue,” “Emma,” “Everybody Knows Her,” “Athens County” and “Shanty.” One of his most notable songs, “Sunshine (Go Away Today),” released in 1971, still connects with faithful followers and new fans alike.

“Participating in the Pawtucket Arts Festival has enabled The Samaritans to connect with Rhode Islanders in ways we never imagined,” said Denise Panichas, executive director.  “That is why we are excited Mr. Edwards will be joining us for this special celebration of the arts in the city and for The Samaritans’ 40th Anniversary.  He is a thoughtful, down-to-earth artist who has inspired audiences across the ages. We know this will be a magical night for everyone.”

The concert will take place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 50 Park Place, Pawtucket. Tickets are $30 per person until September 8 and then $40 until show time.
