Senior project for a cause

Warwick Veterans student Amanda Graves is doing her senior project on event planning, and is raising money for ovarian cancer in the process. She has planned a pasta dinner to raise money for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC), which strives to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and improve the survival rate and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer. Approximately 22,000 women are diagnosed and more than 15,000 will die each year from ovarian cancer. The pasta dinner will be held on Jan. 12 from 12 to 4 p.m. This event will take place at 1192 Plainfield Street in Johnston. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and children under 5 get in for free. To reserve tickets, email or call 316-4042. (Submitted photo)
