INSIGHT, a nonprofit agency that provides programs and services for Rhode Islanders who are living with vision will host a fundraising wine tasting and auction on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Squantum Association, 947 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Riverside, RI.

Tickets, which are $65 each, as well as a preview of the auction are available online at www.in-sight.org.

INSIGHT Executive Director Christopher Butler said that Bottles Fine Wine will be providing sixteen wines for the event that will be available for tasting. As an added twist, the identities of four of the wines will be masked and participants will be asked to “guess the grape” for a chance to win prizes during an end of the night raffle. A selection of hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will also be available. 

Butler also said that the organization has almost 60 auction items including a seven day stay at a Hilton Head resort, an autographed Sandy Leon baseball from the Boston Red Sox, and tickets to see Patti LaBelle at Foxwoods, available in their online and silent auction.

Proceeds from the event will support a wide array of programs for Rhode Islanders who are blind and visually impaired including workshops, in home training programs, support groups, low vision evaluations, summer youth programs, and the agency’s radio reading service.
