Sharon L. (Whelan) Sylvester, age 73, of Milton Lane, Coventry, formerly of Church Avenue, Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Sylvester.
Born in Santa Ana, California, the daughter of the late Roland A. and Lucile M. (Shellenberger) Whelan, she moved to Coventry from Warwick in September 2017. Mrs. Sylvester had owned and operated a day care. She enjoyed camping and cooking.
She is survived by three sons, Scott A. Bianchi of Warwick, Kevin Bianchi of Parker, Colorado and Keith Bianchi of Cranston; a brother, Todd M. Whelan of West Palm Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Oreo. She was the sister of the late Mark A. Whelan and the stepmother of the late Jason Sylvester.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 4-7 p.m. in Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Burial will be private.
