She's got a sweet tooth
Evelyn Dolman celebrated her 104th birthday Friday and plenty of relatives showed up to the West Shore Health Center to be with her. Born in Portugal, Evelyn came to this country as a young girl. She is the mother of four, grandmother to eight, great-grandmother to seven and also a great-great-grandmother. Until the age of 70, she worked as a shirt press operator and then continued to do housework until her 80s. She lived by herself in her Johnston home to the age of 101. She especially enjoyed cooking and crochet and, as evidenced during her party, has a penchant for cake. Gathering around her [standing from left] are family members: Joseph Savage, Laredo Guglietti, Tracy Savage, Tayla Gorton, Mildred Savage, Raymond Glode and Bill Savage. In the foreground from left are: Ryan Glode, Tyler Glode, Lindsey Guglietti, Evelyn, Sandra Glode and Joanne Savage. Up close with the birthday gal are daughter Mildred Savage and granddaughter Sandy Glode.
