Sparky’s Puppets will perform “Old Favorites” at the 51st annual Clown Town to be held at St. Luke’s Church Parish Center in East Greenwich Saturday, April 1.
Mother Goose will share some of her rhymes and introduce the stories. Meet “Little Red Riding Hood.” Give the “Three Little Pigs” some building advice. And help the little old lady who’s making “The Gingerbread Man” by giving her some make-believe ingredients for the cookie dough.
Sparky’s Puppets have been dramatizing favorite children’s stories in schools and libraries throughout New England for more than 37 years. Each show features colorful hand puppets, lively humor and plenty of audience participation.
Clown Town is a day of fun and games for children ages 2-12. Sponsored by Greenwich Bay Women’s Club, Clown Town is free. Activities start at 10 a.m. Proceeds benefit the Boys Home Association and toddler Elleona Remy Downes, as well as the Club’s Scholarship Fund. For further information about Clown Town or the Club contact janeflowers@cox.net or laureen.ryan@bankers.com.
