“I built a successful career explaining to Providence Journal readers the actions and consequences of their local officials. As a career journalist I will enter office knowing how government works, and as a first-time candidate I enter without political encumbrances, freeing me to make decisions based on merit. Very nice man, I had the pleasure of chatting with him at my home for about an hour. Unfortunately, he lacks the fundamental knowledge of city processes, budgets, and the city's fiscal position. Although I respect him as a gentleman, I feel that anyone who does not understand the current fiscal condition of the city and have knowledge in its many departmental process, is not a viable candidate. I wish him all the best.
