Trinity Rep presented the world premiere of Robert Alexander’s “A Preface to the Alien Garden” starring Nehassaiu deGannes with set design by Eugene Lee and fight choreography by Normand Beauregard.

Juliette Lewis starred in “The Other Sister,” while Michelle Pfeiffer starred in “The Deep End of the Ocean.” Nicolas Cage starred in “8mm,” while Emily Berg starred in the awful sequel to “Carrie,” subtitled “The Rage.”

Remember A2Z? They put on a wonderful concert production of “Jesus Christ, Superstar” at the Round Top Church, starring Danny Zolli as Jesus Christ. Our own Charlie Hall brought down the house as King Herod.

Warwick artist Carlos Pedro exhibited his nature photographs at The Gallery at T’s in Cranston.

Festival Ballet performed “The Firebird” at VMA (Vets). 40 Years Ago

Opera lovers flocked to the VMA to see “Don Giovanni.” Tickets were $6 to $15.

The Memphis Blues Caravan was at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, followed by an Irish Band music concert.

Warwick Musical Theatre announced its summer lineup, which included Bob Hope, Sammy Davis Jr., Perry Como, Eddy Arnold and Liberace. Ah, yes, those were the good old days!

Kate Burton was starring in Chekhov’s “The Seagull” at Brown. Yes, the Kate Burton, who now plays senior citizen roles.

Trinity did a musical version of “Jack the Ripper,” with Bob Colonna as The Chairman.

Two big movies in March were “The China Syndrome” with Jack Lemmon and “Norma Rae” with Sally Field.
