The cupboard won’t be bare

A $1,000 legislative grant from Senate Majority Leader Michael McCaffrey will go a long way in ensuring that pantry shelves won’t be bare when St. Mark’s Church holds its monthly free meal and market. About 70 people attend the luncheon that is prepared by parishioners the last Saturday of every month. Those in attendance are then invited to select food and toiletries from the pantry shelves that are replenished by donations and church purchases. Here, Senator and McCaffrey and The Reverend Susan Wrathall, pastor, arrange items on one of the shelves. (Warwick Beacon photo)
