With the removal of a giant pine that obscured the flagpole, the colors are once again flying at Hoxsie School. And to commemorate the occasion, the entire school turned out Thursday – Flag Day – for a program that included patriotic songs, comments from the superintendent and principal and the reading of winning essays on “what the flag means to me” by their young authors.
