Tillie L. Fitton, 91, peacefully passed away March 3, 2012. She was the wife of the late Russell T. Fitton. Born in West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Dabek) Kwiatkoski. Mrs. Fitton worked for many years as a seamstress and served in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) during World War II. She was an avid Red Sox fan. She is survived by a brother, Charles Kwiatkoski; a sister, Jean Federovich; nieces and nephews, including nephew Cornelius Neil Fitton and his wife, Mary; and great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews, including great-niece Diane Cedrone and her husband, Steven, with whom she lived. She was the sister of the late Lottie Demsky, John Jr., Amelia Prego Berdy and Stella Phillips. Her funeral will be held March 9 at 9 a.m. from Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Rd., Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are March 8 from 5-8 p.m.
