The Toll Gate Titans continued their winning ways as they rolled past South Kingstown Saturday night, 4-2.

The Titans came into this one with a solid record of 6-2 and all of the momentum was on their side as they had won the previous four games.

South Kingstown came into Saturday’s matchup with a 5-4 record and looked to avoid the drop to a .500 winning percentage.

Austin Sequeira tended between the pipes for the Titans in this tilt. Coming into this one, Sequeira had two shutouts on the season in league games and three overall. His impressive performances have gotten him a solid save percentage of just around .930 and he has surpassed the 150-save mark on the season.

Toll Gate battled for the victory on Saturday behind goals from Camden Palumbo, D.J. Kowalik, Will Fox and Jack Dean. South Kingstown will get another attempt to put a stop to the Titans on Feb. 17 in an attempt to avoid the season sweep.

This was a solid performance all-around by the Titans and it helped the team extend its winning streak to five games. This win improves the Titans’ record to 7-2 on the season.

With half a season to go, the Titans are currently sitting in third place in Division II-North. They are tied with Coventry with 14 points apiece in the standings, and they’re tabbed to face the Oakers on Feb. 11. This matchup could be a vital game for both teams come playoff time.

Coming up for the Titans is a matchup with PCD/St. Ray’s/Wheeler, which currently sits at 4-5-1 on the season and is just one spot behind Toll Gate in the division standings. The two teams will drop the puck on Friday at 9:30 p.m. at Dennis Lynch Arena.

Toll Gate will then take on East Greenwich on Saturday at 9 p.m. at the West Warwick Civic Center.
