Two men inidicted for Warwick robbery
On Oct. 3, the Kent County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Gino Disano and Todd Barber, each with one count of first degree robbery, one count of conspiracy and one count of resisting arrest. Barber is also charged with one count of reckless driving and one count of simple assault. Disano, 36, of 177 Northup St. in Warwick, and Barber, 22, of 73 Carrs Pond Rd. in West Greenwich, are charged with conspiring to rob the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 1201 Warwick Ave. on Aug. 29.
Police said an air-powered replica of a semi-automatic handgun was used in the robbery and a description of the getaway car broadcast by the Warwick dispatcher alerted police and they pursued the car into the Oakland Beach neighborhood, where they were taken into custody. They were both charged with resisting arrest and Barber was charged with reckless driving and assault on a police officer.
Both men are being held without bail at the ACI and are scheduled for arraignment in Superior Court on Oct. 19.
