URI Master Gardeners will offer gardening tips and techniques at the Warwick Public Library on Tuesdays, March 28 and April 4, 11 and 18 at 7 p.m.

On March 28, discover How to Recognize and Control Caterpillars. Late March is the time to look for and remove winter moth, gypsy moth and tent caterpillars.

On April 4, learn about Square Foot Gardening. Increase the productivity of your garden by planting in square-foot grids.

On April 11, find out How to Start Seeds. Some seeds should be started indoors while others go directly in your garden.

On April 18, hear How Tournament of Roses Parade Floats Are Made. Each year URI Master Gardener Lee Menard is a member of the decorating crew.

Plus, at each session, you'll get a choice of seeds to take home, including vegetables, flowers, and more.

The URI Master Gardener Program has taught the latest and best gardening practices to gardeners across Rhode Island since 1977. For more information, call x9758. The library is located at 600 Sandy Lane. This event is free and open to all.
