URI women’s hockey bounced from nationals

The University of Rhode Island women’s hockey team went 0-3 at the ACHA nationals in Ashburn, Va., over the weekend. The team, which has several Warwick players, had a rough opening day on Thursday, losing its opener 4-0 to Minnesota and falling 6-0 to Liberty later on. On Friday, URI trailed Michigan 3-2 into the late going before an empty-net goal sealed a 4-2 win for the Wolverines. Minnesota went on to beat Liberty for the national championship.
