Veterinary leader is speaker at Rocky Hill series
Vint Virga, DVM, a distinguished practitioner and leader in veterinary medicine for the past 25 years, will be the final speaker in the Rocky Hill School Distinguished Scholar Lecture Series Tuesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. Dr. Virga will give the first public reading from his forthcoming book, “The Soul of All Living Creatures.”
Dr. Virga is an internationally respected expert on animal behavior, known for his sensitivity and compassion toward animals and humans alike. His expertise spans the animal kingdom from cats and dogs to giraffes, leopards, gibbons, wolves and other wild species. He specializes in zoo animal behavior and, as the founding president of Veterinary Healing Arts, he consults nationally to zoos, wild animal parks, aquariums and aviaries. He also attends to the behavioral care of dogs, cats, horses and other companion animals in his private practice in East Greenwich.
