Vets juniors could win free prom package from Baker’s Baskets

It’s almost prom season, and that means booking a limo, heading to the salon and ordering floral arrangements. But thanks to Baker’s Baskets, eight lucky students won’t have to worry about the hassle or the expense of prepping for prom.

Lisa Baker of Baker’s Baskets has put together a prom raffle in memory of Kristin Rose Barnes, who was killed in a 2010 car crash along with Baker’s son, Evan. Barnes was 17 at the time. All proceeds from the raffle will go toward the Kristin Rose Barnes scholarship foundation.

The winner of the raffle will receive door to door service for four couples from A Perfection Limousine; hair styling and manicures for four from Dino's Hair Salon and Spa; and flowers for eight from Baker's Baskets and Flowers.

Tickets are $2 apiece or $5 for three and can be purchased with Junior Prom tickets at Warwick Vets or at Baker’s Baskets, 16 Freeborne Street, Warwick. The raffle is only open to Warwick Vets juniors attending the May 11 prom.
