Walter L. Gibson

Walter L. Gibson, 83, of Warwick, passed January 7, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Zangrilli) Gibson.
Walter was born in Capron, Ill., a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Coulter) Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a sheet metal worker for Local #17 and retired from Amtrak. Walter was also a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran.
He is survived by his loving children, Larry Gibson and his wife, Sue, of Cumberland, Christine Giblin and her husband, Terry, of West Warwick, Janet Whiteley and her husband, Ted, of Cranston and Karen Gibson of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of six and brother of Robert Gibson of Illinois and the late Ella Peterson, Eugene Gibson and Marguerite Bokker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. in Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by burial with military honors in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
