Warren G. Marble, 78, passed away on May 23, 2018 at his home in Warwick, RI.

He was born October 23, 1939 in Dedham, MA to Lloyd and Elizabeth (Spofford) Marble. Warren grew up in Vermont, moving to Warwick when he was 15, as his father was called to be pastor of Oakland Beach Congregational Church of Warwick. He graduated from Warwick Veteran’s Memorial High School in 1957. Warren then served in the Navy and finished active duty in 1961. He later attended Rhode Island College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He taught school in Middletown and Cranston for ten years.

Warren married Carol (Hallbauer-Miller) in 1986. They were happily married for 32 years. Prior to being pastor at First Congregational Church of Warwick for the last ten years he was minister of music for over 50 years. He started and remained active in the bell choir. He owned Marble Organ Company for over 45 years. He enjoyed camping, Vermont, clocks, playing in the pool with the kids, and helping people. He had a big heart and was known for his kindness.

Warren is survived by his spouse Carol; his son Scott and wife Cheryl of Warwick; his son Ray and wife Dawn of Warwick; his daughter Anne White of West Warwick; his grandchildren: Melissa, Kristy, and Teagan Marble, Nicole and Johnathon Miller, Joe Lussier, Sara Lacy, John and Nicholas Andre; his great-grandchildren: Kassidy, Ayden, Anthony, Jamison, Paisley, Samantha, Matthew, Justin, Lindsey, Mary and Ryland. Warren was predeceased by his sons: Roger Marble and John Miller.

A celebration of Warren’s life with full military honors will be held at First Congregational Church of Warwick, 715 Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick, RI 02889 at 11 a.m. on June 9, 2018. The family will be greeting friends and relatives from 10-11 a.m. that same day. A potluck lunch will follow downstairs in the church hall.
